We have been thinking about what to say to you about my trek with your organization of it. I guess I have to say that I can't remember a time when every detail was as well organized and attended to. You listened to my expectations when we met in Kathmandu and by the time we returned from Tibet, you had one of the kindest and most knowledgeable guide We travelled with. It was so clear to me how well respected he is in the Khumbu. Everyone greeted him with fondness and familiarity. His sense of humor, willingness to please and mindfulness of his own culture and people made my trip very memorable. I would come again in a moment. if I didn't have to make a living here. Thanks again for your graciousness and dinner, too. I will continue to mention you to those I know who are headed your direction. I am sure I will be back some day. At that time I will look you up. In the meantime, please do keep in touch.

If your time is limited, you can fly in to the remote mountain airstrip at Lukla and trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, the monastery at Tengpoche and the high yak pasture of Dingboche. This trek provides an overview of Sherpa culture and excellent views of the high Himalaya. |
