 Forbidden Kingdom Valley
14 Days Trek to Mustang
Altitude 4200m. (14,000 feet)

Namaste!
Sherpa Shangri-la!

We wanted to take a moment to thank you for 6 weeks of incredible experiences in Nepal!  From the moment you met us at the Kathmandu Airport upon our arrival, helping us to resolve our lost luggage dilemma, to the outstanding trek into Mustang, to seeing us off for our long flight home, your attention to detail was incredible!..........MORE

The ancient and mysterious Kingdom of Lo, as it is known to its inhabitants, is now open to a limited number of visitors. where we have been helping to establish Environmental Association in conjunction with the King & Royal Family, to preserve the area's unique and fragile environment.

We fly in and out of Jomsom to avoid the long approach march, and trek up the west side of the valley, with spectacular views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri & the Annapurna massif from the pass at 13 000ft. After visiting Tserang, the second city of Mustang. We continue on through dramatic desert scenery of red and ochre fluted cliffs, to the fabled mediaeval walled city of Lo Manthang.

We spend the next few days visiting the outlying temples and villages using Lo Manthang as a base; we may even be lucky enough to have an interview with King. A steep descent into the gorge to visit friends in Dhi (where we will no doubt be treated to some traditional Tibetan hospitality) takes us on the return journey over a spectacular pass at 13000ft and back to the airstrip in Jomsom.

Cost and other details will be provided upon request. Write email to us at info@trekandclimb.com.
